
Çağla Vural
Çağla Vural is a researcher at SETA's Climate Change and Environment Program. At Ankara Science University, she leads a TÜBİTAK-funded research project titled "Turkey's Bridging Role in International Climate Diplomacy: A Comparative and Applied Analysis," and she also teaches courses in international relations. She recently completed a TÜBİTAK-supported postdoctoral study examining the effects of marine non-native "invasive" species in the Eastern Mediterranean on economic, human, and ecological security. Her research interests cover international relations theories, environmental security, climate change politics, and the security dimensions of ecological challenges. Dr. Vural focuses in particular on global ecological threats and security dynamics ranging from greenwashing to environmental crime.
