Dr. Dama graduated from Mathematics Department at Kocaeli University in 2008. She has master degree in Economics by completing thesis called “The Effects of Smoking Ban on Smoking Consumption” in 2012. Then she did doctorate in Social Policy. Her doctorate thesis is called “The Impact of Social Aid on Social Welfare in Turkey”. She worked as Research Assistant at Yildirim Beyazit University from 2012 to 2016..
Dr. Dama has focused on social aids, socio-economic inequalities, social policies, public expenditure, economic growth and socio-economic inclusion of disadvantages groups. She has publications related to her research fields. “How Effect the Party’s of Election Commitment to Vote”, “Social Aids from Present to Past”, “The Policies of Social Aid in Turkey” are published in 2015, 2016 respectively. Dr. Dama is an assistant professor at Faculty of Political Sciences, Ankara Yildirim Beyazit University and she has continued to research in welfare studies, social aids, economic and social rights of disadvantages groups.

Turkey is home to the highest refugee population in the world, having adopted an open door policy for people who come from Syria to Turkey. The number of registered Syrians in Turkey has reached 2,783,617. Of these, 1,301,026 are Syrian women.
