‘People of Turkey Expect a more Responsible HDP’

With the launch of Turkish military’s airstrikes against DAESH (ISIS) and the PKK, criticisms, speculations and questions have flared up. As a bad habit of critics – political party leaders in particular – President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan seems to be blamed for every single act in the country.

Hosted by France 24 on July 28 to discuss the latest developments involving Turkey, SETA’s Muhittin Ataman said on the issue, “This is a kind of breaking away from the responsibility. They do not take any responsibility, and always try to connect any negativity with Mr. Erdoğan. But, the people of Turkey expect a more responsible HDP to invite the PKK to get rid of arms and withdraw from the Turkish territory.”
