On 15th of October 2019, SETA will organize a panel titled “Child Soldiers of PKK”. The panel will draw attention to the issue of PKK’s recruitment of children under the age of 18. The discussion will be based on the legal, academic, political and social perspectives of the issue. Dr. Enes Bayraklı, SETA Brussels Coordinator, will lead the panel in company of Aytekin Yılmaz, the author of the books “Yoldaşını Öldürmek” and “Onlar Daha Çocuktu”; Aysel Bozkurt, a member of the family of children kidnapped and recruited by the terrorist organization PKK; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sezai Özçelik, researcher on the child soldiers and Member of Faculty at Çankırı Karatekin University; and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Serhat Erkmen, expert on radicalization studies and Member of Faculty at Gendarmerie and Coast Guard Academy.
