Orçun Demir

Dr. Orçun Demir is a research assistant in the Department of Political Science and International Relations at TOBB University of Economics and Technology. He completed his master's and doctoral studies in Political Science and International Relations at the same university. His doctoral research offered a comparative analysis of the governance of renewable energy transitions in Türkiye, Poland and Bulgaria. His work focuses on renewable energy transitions, energy and climate policy, institutional change, state-market relations, regulatory institutions and comparative political economy. Green hydrogen, industrial decarbonization, energy security and low-carbon transition policies are also among the key topics on his current research agenda. Alongside his academic work, he is involved in internationalization, higher education partnerships and national and international projects. He takes part in training and project activities under TÜBİTAK and Erasmus+, and continues his work in academic research, project development and international academic cooperation.
