Detailed Information

Turkish-Greek relations have demonstrated positive momentum since 2023. The two sides have avoided major tensions and have instead emphasized a “positive agenda,” prioritizing areas of mutual interest. Nevertheless, as core disagreements remain unresolved, bilateral relations have yet to achieve full harmony, leaving considerable room for further development in cooperation.

Against this backdrop, the sixth meeting of the Türkiye-Greece High Level Cooperation Council will be held in Ankara on 11 February 2026. What is the significance of this meeting for bilateral relations? How can the current state of Turkish-Greek relations be assessed?

These questions gain further importance at a time when debates within the transatlantic community are intensifying, Europe’s security architecture is being reshaped, and instability persist in Türkiye and Greece’s neighboring regions, including the Eastern Mediterranean, the Middle East, the Black Sea, and the Balkans.

This web panel will bring together Turkish and Greek experts to discuss the present dynamics and future prospects of Turkish-Greek relations in an evolving regional and global context.
