Sezen Kaya Sönmez

Sezen Kaya-Sönmez holds a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from Çukurova University and a Master's degree in International Relations from the same university. In 2026, she completed her Ph.D. in International Relations (English) at Kadir Has University. Currently serving as a research assistant at Kadir Has University, Kaya-Sönmez also worked as a visiting doctoral researcher for three months at the Centre Marc Bloch in Berlin, Germany, supported by a TÜBİTAK International Doctoral Research Fellowship. Her academic research interests include environmental security, climate security, critical security studies, and the European Union. In addition, she hosts a series titled Yeşil Konuşmalar: Çevrenin ve Ekolojinin Sesi (Green Talks: The Voice of Environment and Ecology) on the Paradigma Podcast Channel, in partnership with the Panorama Global web portal.
