SETA Brussels ASBL is organizing a web-panel discussion entitled “The Ceasefire in Nagorno Karabakh: What's next?” on Friday, 4th of December 2020 at 19.00 o'clock (Brussels Time).
Azerbaijan and Armenia signed, on the night of Monday 9 to Tuesday 10 November, under the aegis of Russia, an agreement to end hostilities in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Azerbaijan, after 27 years of frozen conflict and 44 days of war, proclaimed victory.
After the announcement, described as "Armenia's surrender" new questions arose:
-How will the region be affected from the new situation?
-What are the consequences for Azerbaijan, Armenia, and the other key actors in the region?
-What roles are the European actors likely to play in the region after the ceasefire?
-How did the war affect the Turkish-Russian relations?
Those questions and many other will be put on the table on Friday 4th of December at 19.00 (Brussels Time) by Prof. Dr. Nurşin Ateşoğlu Güney and Dr. Stanislav Pritchin
The event will be live-streamed on our social media accounts and watched through this link: https://www.setav.org/live/
