Who Will Be Iran’s New Supreme Leader?
Editor-in-chief of Kriter Magazine Mustafa Caner commented on who might become Iran's next Supreme Leader after Khamenei's death. He stated that Mojtaba Khamenei, the son of the late Ali Khamenei, could be a candidate, but many clerics oppose him. Ali Reza Arafi is seen as a strong candidate, as he is a member of both the Guardian Council and the Assembly of Experts. Caner added that the ongoing war could turn into a religious conflict and that the next Supreme Leader will likely be a hardliner.
