The Mecca Alliance is taking tangible form. Today's meeting signals that the agreement will not remain merely on paper, while also highlighting its potential for expansion and laying the groundwork for institutionalization.
The pact itself is a response to regional tensions and shifting geopolitical balances, particularly in the post-October 7 era. With the additional membership of Egypt and Bangladesh, the pact's power and stabilizing effect are likely to increase.
