Energy issues lie at the heart of political and economic developments; as well they play a crucial role in many persistent conflicts. Countries that possess energy resources and make use of them –such as Russia, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Northern Iraq, Iran, and Eastern Mediterranean region- have prominence in the security of the energy supply. Neighboring the above mentioned countries, Turkey’s geo-strategic position provides the opportunity to be a center country in the energy sector.
The report titled “Turkey’s Quest of Being a Center Country in Energy,” prepared by Erdal Tanas Karagöl, Seyithan Ahmet Ateş, Salihe Kaya and Mehmet Kızılkaya, provides a detailed account of the relations between Turkey and the energy suppliers. Considering the fact that energy became a component of political developments in the world and global conflict areas, the position where Turkey is going to stand in the energy market gains importance.
SETA cordially invites you to attend the panel where his Excellency, the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Turkey, Mr. Berat Albayrak is going to deliver the keynote address.
Those who might be interested are warmly invited.
Sincerely,
SETA
