Biography
He obtained his B.A. degree Uludağ University Faculty of Theology, and M.A. degree from Marmara University and received his PhD from Ankara University. He worked as a writer and editor in textbook writing commissions within the Ministry of National Education (MEB). In 2012, he took part in the establishment of Ru'ya Turkiyya, an Arabic-language journal published by SETA, and continues to be its editor-in-chief. He is currently the professor and chair of Kalam Department at Istanbul University, Faculty of Theology since 2018 and continues his research on the schools of Kalam, religion-politics relations, contemporary Islamic movements and their political views. Some of his publication titles can be translated as: "20th Century Caliphate Debates in the Islamic World", "Mutazila's Theological Polemics", "Salafism: Historical Process and Views", "Arab Revolutions and Political Transformation of Islamic Movements".
