Biography
M. Erkut Ayvaz graduated from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg
(Germany) with a double-major in Political Science and Public Law. He spent
the academic year 2012-2013 at Duke University (NC, USA) with a DAAD-
scholarship. In 2014 he received his MA after completing his master's thesis.
Currently, Ayvaz works on his doctoral dissertation at the Otto-Friedrich-
University of Bamberg (Germany). He has published various articles in
magazines, newspapers and on platforms such as Anadolu Agency. M. Erkut
Ayvaz is the Research Director at the SETA Foundation's Berlin office. His
research focuses on German domestic, foreign and security policy as well as
on Turkish-German relations. Ayvaz has publications in research fields such as
government systems and Turkish domestic politics. He also wrote opinion
pieces and analyses on German domestic, foreign policy as well as Turkish-
German bilateral relations.
