Biography
He was born in Rize-Pazar (1982), received his bachelor's degree in Sociology from Boğaziçi University (2005), his master's degree (2007) and doctorate (2011) in Labor Economics and Industrial Relations from Istanbul University. He has been working as a Professor in the same department since December 28, 2020. He is the author of the following books: Life-Buoy in Social Policies: Social Assistance (2010), Social Policy Ethics (2012, 2017), Social Policy and Transformation in Turkey: Mentality, Actors and Practices (2017), Disadvantaged Groups in Social Policy: History, Approach and Practice (2018), Social Policy Management Guide of a City: Esenler Case (Joint, 2019), Social Welfare: A Holistic Perspective (2020), Sabahattin Zaim: Morals, Ideas and Action (2021) and International Students' Adaptation to the Turkish Language: The Case of Istanbul University (Joint, 2022). He has also edited the following books: Social Policy Actors in Turkey: Ground and Practice (2017), Economy, Society and Politics with Sabahattin Zaim (2019), Human, Society and Economy: The Outlines of Sabahattin Zaim's Thought (2020), The Formation of Social Politics in Turkey: Istanbul University Tradition (2021), Ak Parti Years in Social Policies (2023) and Turkey's Hundred Years: Social Policies (2024). He translated the book "The Role of the State in the Economy: An Islamic Perspective" (2018) into Turkish. He was a commission member in the National Employment Strategy Workshops (2009, 2011), served as a rapporteur in the 10th Development Plan Social Assistance and Services Working Group (2013), a member of the Program Development Team in the "Family Education Program Content Evaluation Study" of the Ministry of Family and Social Services (2022). He gave lectures on "Social Psychology" at the Police Vocational High School (2007-2010), "Business Ethics in the Public Sector" at the War Academies Command (2013), "Social Assistance and Services for the Disabled" at the Haseki Training Center of the Presidency of Religious Affairs (2015) and "Business Ethics" at TRT within the scope of In-Service Training (2022). He was also the editor (2018-2019) of the Journal of Social Policy Studies under the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Services.
