The Erasmus+ KA220-YOU – Learning, Teaching and Training Activity (LTT) on “New Generation Security Threats in the New Information Age” provides a comprehensive, practice-oriented learning experience designed to strengthen participants’ competencies in information analysis, data protection, and strategic communication.

Over five intensive days, participants will follow a structured curriculum that combines theoretical foundations, applied workshops, and interactive simulations. The program covers principles of information cycle management, open-source data research, digital media analysis, mis/disinformation studies, and scenario-based crisis simulations, ensuring participants gain both conceptual understanding and hands-on skills.

The training methodology integrates conceptual presentations, real-world case studies, digital media literacy exercises, collaborative group work, and role-play simulations. Each day builds progressively, moving from the fundamentals of information processing and verification to advanced techniques in open-source research, content authentication, and the prevention of information manipulation, culminating in a full-scale crisis simulation exercise.

By the end of the program, participants will have:

  • Developed a solid understanding of information management processes and protective measures.
  • Acquired practical skills in open-source data gathering and social media content evaluation.
  • Learned to identify, analyze, and counter false or manipulative information.
  • Practiced decision-making and communication under pressure through team-based simulation exercises.

This LTT activity aims to foster technical proficiency, analytical thinking, and collaborative problem-solving in addressing contemporary information security challenges. Participants will leave the program equipped with tools and strategies applicable in governmental, civil society, academic, and media contexts, contributing to more informed, secure, and resilient communities.
