Daesh, which emerged in Iraq and culminated in the regional chaos created by the Syrian Civil War, has become an international problem in a short period of time. The setting in which state structures collapse, deeply impacted the regions neighbouring the conflict. As a matter of fact, Turkey has been exposed to high-level and diversified threats, since it shares long borders with Iraq and Syria. Daesh, which has regional and global ambitions, has targeted Turkey many times. In this respect, it is crucial to analyse the Daesh attacks against Turkey along with Daesh’s grand strategy and evaluate Turkey’s security-intensifier measures domestically and internationally, multi-dimensional financial measures against the organisation as well as its contribution to the international coalition formed to degrade and destroy Daesh. We are honoured to invite you to a panel discussion that will shed some light on the issues mentioned above, titled “Enemy at the Border: Turkey’s Fight against Daesh”.
P. S. Turkish-English simultaneous interpretation will be provided during the panel discussion.
