The Tension between Russia And Turkey Will De-escalate

Russia is using ISIS as pretexts to bomb the moderate rebels all over Syria and in the last month they have targeted Turkmen villages and rebels that live just across Turkish border

The tension between Russia and Turkey, after the downing of the Russian jet by the Turkish F-16, has been the main topic in the last days. Enes Bayraklı while analyzing the situation stated that, unlike Russia alleges, it has been mainly attacking the moderate rebels and lately has increased their attacks in the Turkmen villages. However, he stated that this was not the first time that Russia has violated the Turkish airspace and within the last two months Russia has taken several warnings from Turkey in this regard.

While NATO has openly stated its position alongside Turkey, Bayraklı argued that this attack was not done only against Turkey but lately Russia has probed NATO in several occasions starting from the Ukrainian. Such incidents have happened also in the Baltic Region and in the Black Sea region.

Considering that the Russia’s harsh tone mainly targeted the domestic audience, Bayraklı commented that the tension between both states will tend to smooth with time as both states have economic interdependency.
