Islamophobia and islamophobic attacks have become a common phenomenon not only in the Western socities but also in the Muslim socities. In this context SETA will organize a panel titled “Islamophobia in Muslim Majority Countries and Turkey” on 6th of December 2019 in Istanbul. The panel will draw attention to the Islamophobic incidents that are deliberately ignored. Also political, social and media aspects of Islamophobia will be discussed in the panel.

Meryem İlayda Atlas, Daily Sabah‘s Editorial Coordinator, will lead the panel in company of Özlem Zengin, Vice President of AK Party Group and Tokat Deputy. Other speakers of the panel will cover Zeliha Eliaçık from SETA, Emine İlyas from 28 February Student Association, and Turgay Yerlikaya from Istanbul University.
