On March 11, 2019, MP Afzal Khan will open the panel “Countering Anti-Muslim Racism in the UK” at the Yunus Emre Institute in London, UK. Drawing on the most recently published edition of the annually published European Islamophobia Report, this event will shed light on the rising levels of Islamophobia in European countries and the UK. Additionally, the event seeks to address the issue of tackling this growing phenomenon.

Talha Ahmad, co-chair of Stand Up to Racism, will moderate the discussion in the company of Enes Bayraklı, director of European Studies at SETA and co-editor of the European Islamophobia Report; Miqdaad Versi, spokesperson for the Muslim Council of Britain; and Amina Easat-Daas and Aristotle Kallis, authors of the Belgian and UK chapters of the European Islamophobia Report.
