The step taken by US President Trump to declare Al-Quds as the capital of Israel and to relocate the US embassy to the city has been met with serious objections in the international arena. This step, which is in violation of numerous UN resolutions, will carry significant implications on both the course of the Palestinian-Israeli question as well as on other regional issues. In an extraordinary summit in Istanbul, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation has responded by declaring East Jerusalem as the capital of Palestine.

How will the US declaration of Al-Quds as Israel’s capital affect regional stability? How will recently elevated Gulf-Israeli relations be affected by this decision? What repercussions will this decision have in Palestinian domestic politics? How should the OIC Istanbul summit and its ensuing decisions be evaluated from regional perspective?

SETA cordially invites you to the panel discussion entitled “How to Solve the Crisis in Al-Quds?” where experts will be discussing the abovementioned issues and more.

NOTE: The event will be held in Turkish and English. Simultaneous translation will be provided.
