Necdet Özçelik completed his Master’s Degree at International Relations Department of Atılım University and works at SETA as a security and defense researcher. Özçelik has expertise in Low Intensity Conflicts as a former member of Turkish Special Forces and made tour of duties in southeast Turkey, Iraq, Kyrgyzstan, Afghanistan, Germany, and the USA. Özçelik is also qualified in US Army Special Forces. His area of studies covers the nature of irregular warfare including terrorism, C/T, insurgency, COIN and violent non-state actors.
