The start of the long prepared operation to rescue Mosul from Daesh has brought many significant questions to the fore. How the city of Mosul and the rescue operation have become the center of regional rivalry and influence; what type of political, economic and sociological transformations Mosul would face in the post-Daesh period; and which tactics and strategies would Daesh embrace after its possible loss of Mosul constitute some of these questions. All these issues will be discussed at the panel titled “Mosul after Daesh, Daesh after Mosul”. The panel will be moderated by SETA Security Studies Director Murat Yesiltas, and SETA Foreign Policy Director Ufuk Ulutas, the President of Ministry of Foreign Affairs Diplomacy Academy Mesut Ozcan and Othman Ali from Sakarya University Middle East Institute will be discussants.

The panel will be held both in Turkish and English. Simultaneous translation will be provided.
